Hundreds of Wichita residents are struggling with suspended driver’s licenses, making it harder to keep jobs, care for families, and contribute to the community. To address this urgent need, Kansas Legal Services will host a free Driver’s License Clinic on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Guadalupe Clinic.

USTA Memo: Avoid Airing Protests During Trump’s Appearance at U.S. Open

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) asked broadcasters of the U.S. Open to avoid airing any protests or audience reactions to former President Donald Trump’s attendance at Sunday’s men’s singles final, according to a memo reviewed by The Athletic.

American kids are less likely to reach adulthood than foreign peers. Babies and children in the United States are nearly twice as likely to die before reaching adulthood compared with their peers in other wealthy countries, according to a new study. (Missouri Independent)

The first Black woman to have her image on a U.S. coin is the celebrated poet, author, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou. Her image appears on a special quarter as part of the United States Mint’s American Women Quarters Program, which began shipping in January 2022.
