Hundreds of Wichita residents are struggling with suspended driver’s licenses, making it harder to keep jobs, care for families, and contribute to the community. To address this urgent need, Kansas Legal Services will host a free Driver’s License Clinic on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Guadalupe Clinic (940 S. St. Francis Ave., Wichita, KS).
The clinic is part of a workforce development initiative to remove barriers to employment and stability caused by suspended licenses. Qualified participants will receive free legal aid to help restore driving privileges.
“This is a workforce development issue. Kansas has very low unemployment — about 3% of employees are looking for skilled workers everywhere. When Kansans lose their driver’s licenses because of unpaid fines or court debt, they often lose their jobs, their independence, and their ability to care for their families. Legal aid clinics like this upcoming clinic in Wichita help hardworking people navigate the system, restore their licenses, and get back on the road to stability. Supporting these services means stronger families, a stronger workforce, and stronger communities across Kansas” states Matt Keenan, Executive Director of Kansas Legal Services.

I previously attended one of these drivers license clinic over the summer. I was very impressed with how organized the clinic was and how they had all paperwork needed ready for lawyer to review at my appointment. The lawyer that helped me was very nice and helpful and made sure all paperwork was completed for me that was necessary to get my license back once the revocation period was up that I had. The volunteer helping the lawyer was also very pleasant and helpful and helped fill out everThing for me the lawyer said needed to be filled. I have recommended this clinic to several people. Thank you to all for all the hardworking and time that the people involved dedicated to help!!
