The Urban League of Kansas will host a Community Health Resource Fair on Fri., Nov.17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the League office, 2418 E. Ninth St. North.

There will be more than 20 organizations on site to tell you about resources and programs that contribute to your health, wellness and well-being.

During the fair, you can get health screenings such as blood pressure and blood sugar checks or COVID testing.

There will be an opportunity to sign up for Medicaid, SNAP or Marketplace.

Medicare Providers will be on hand to answer questions about coverage.

Door prizes will be given away every half hour of the Resource Fair and “Thanksgiving Fixings”

Goody bags containing pies, stuffing, canned food, and carrots will be handed out as long as supplies last.

Gun Violence stems from oppressive, impoverishing, murdering government that leaves no opportunity for people, especially those most difinfrachised, to make a decent living, raise their familief, pay their bills, andnhave some left to enjoy themselves and save. This totalitarian government that only benefits the few doesn’t allow for this by design. If you want the chance to live in freedom with dignity, you will have to organize, across racial lines, nationally, and destroy the tyranny you are oppressed, impoverished, and murdered by.
