Mia Turner In a 5-1 vote, the Wichita Board of Education selected Mia Turner to fill the District 5 seat, replacing Mike Rodee, who resigned last month. Ms. Turner will have the position until the term expires next year.

The BOE interviewed nine candidates who applied for the position.

The schools served in District 5 are Benton, Black, Dodge, Kensler, Lawrence, McCollom, OK, Payne, Peterson, Hadley, Mayberry, Wilbur and Northwest.
