Based on our readership, The Community Voice team has selected 17 races across the State of Kansas to follow closely this year.    Stick with us and we’ll keep you updated on these races through the Nov. 8 general election in the pages of the paper and online.  Our coverage started with speculations about who would run, reported on the status after the filing deadline and our latest update reports on the results of the primaries. 

In five races, there was only one candidate who filed from either party, which almost assured the sole candidate a victory.  In two of the races, there wasn’t any part opposition which sent the candidates straight through to the general election.  However, the remaining eight races had contested primaries.  Here are the results in those races.
