Camp Destination Innovation, in partnership with NetWork Kansas, Urban E-Communities and K-State, is hosting the 7th annual Wichita Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. This event is designed to engage Wichita-area students in grades 7-12, sparking innovation and self-confidence. With students participating from across the city, this is an excellent way for young entrepreneurs to practice their skills and compete for cash prizes!

The competition will utilize VentureDash, NetWork Kansas’ online competition platform. Submissions are open now through February 19th, with the first category of judging taking place the week of February 20th followed by an in-person trade show and finals round on March 1st at WSU’s John Bardo Center. The competition has three parts: the executive summary, the tradeshow, and a finals round to include a video pitch and formal in-person presentation.

Participants must submit a 3-5 minute video pitch and executive summary on VentureDash by February 19th describing their business idea, and they must also plan to be present on March 1st for the trade show and finals round.

We invite all Wichita-area 7th – 12th graders to take part in this fun competition. Think of a business, create a written business plan, make a 3-5 minute video about it, and upload both to the competition page on VentureDash by February 19th. Then we will see you at the tradeshow, where you will have a table designated for you to display information about your business (e.g. a trifold or poster, a laptop with slides, brochures and/or samples of your product).
