Holiday Grand Opening of Legacy Park Plaza Kicks Off Black MasterMind Summit

The Black MasterMind Group (TBMMG) is preparing for an initial grand opening of Legacy Park Plaza, its long-awaited business and community hub in downtown KCK, just in time for the 2025 holiday season. The opening, which will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Fri., Oct 17, at 10:15 a.m.

Kansas could get a nuclear reactor built 1 mile underground to power data centers. A company with a vision of installing “discreet, bespoke,” small, nuclear reactors 1 mile underground for data centers and other electricity-hungry industries plans to put its first reactors in Kansas, Texas and Utah. The first Black woman to have her image on a U.S. coin is the celebrated poet, author, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou. Her image appears on a special quarter as part of the United States Mint’s American Women Quarters Program, which began shipping in January 2022.
