Pre-registration is required. You can sign up for 1 or up to 3 workshops. Doors open for check-in at 8:00am and we kickoff the event at 8:30 a.m. with a morning inspiration from Dr. Marche Fleming-Randle, Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer for Wichita State University.

Body Workshops

Movement and Mobility! -A heat building, mindful movement flow that allows strength and balance for the body and mind. Creative movement to keep the joints healthy and mobile as they build endurance through powerful stabilizing asanas with fluid movement. Aisha Seals, Metta Fitness LLC

Xtreme Hip Hop – Combines cardio, the step board, hip-hop music and lots of swag to provide our participants with a fresh spin on the concept of step aerobics. Brianna Williams, 3 Keys Fitness

Zumba – Zumba is an interval-style dance fitness that combines low and high intensity moves. You will get your heart rate up and want to move your hips and abs to the rhythm with Latin-inspired dance moves. Denise Colburn, Colborn Fitness

Walking – In the footsteps of a civil rights legacy, GirlTrek is a national health movement that activates thousands of black women to be change maker in their lives and communities through walking. Laquita Lugrand-Clark, GirlTrek

Mind & Soul Workshops

Mirror Mirror on the Wall –Mirrors can evoke strong feelings in us – they can also be incredibly powerful tools for changing our perspective and seeing parts of ourselves that are usually hidden as we look out into the world. This workshop will help you rethink who/what you see when you look into a mirror; and learn three ways to tune into your image. Dr. Alisa Henley, The Sunshine Organization

Living Life on and with P.U.R.P.O.S.E – This is a faith-based guided journey towards finding your peace in the midst of all storms. I will take you through the seven steps of P.U.R.P.O.S.E. in hopes to encourage, enlighten, and inspire you to be 100% intentional about the way you treat people, the way you challenge yourself to do something 1% better every day, and most importantly, with scriptures and spirit-filled guidance, I will leave you with tools to understand that when you know better, you must do better! Ms. Royce Martin.
