Tennis players from around the country will be in Wichita for this competitive tennis tournament sponsored by the McAdams Tennis Club. Full-day competition Sat., half-day Sun. Viewing is free. Sat., Aug. 5, Wind Surge Salutes Monrovians for 2023 Season, Riverfront Stadium, 300 S. Sycamore. The Wind Surge will pay tribute by becoming the Wichita Monrovians. The Wichita Monrovians were an all-Black semi-professional baseball team most known for their 10-8 victory over the Ku Klux Klan in a June 1925 game at Wichita’s Ackerman Park.
