4. Sierra Club Ousts Ben Jealous as Executive Director

The Sierra Club, the nation’s oldest grassroots environmental organization, has ousted Executive Director Ben Jealous after a tumultuous two-year tenure. 

5. Grand Gathering:  Making Connections and Building Community

Wichita held its 3rd annual Grand Gathering, a networking opportunity that allows people that are new to Wichita to connect with natives and for Wichitans to make general connections.

California redistricting special election approved; Proposed congressional maps no longer hinge on Texas, GOP states. California voters this fall will be asked to approve Democratic-drawn congressional maps, after the Legislature approved a bill Thursday calling for a special election. (KCRA)
