Ad Hoc Group Against Crime will soon break ground on a new $6 million Center for Healing and Justice in KC’s Santa Fe neighborhood. The 8,800-square-foot facility will provide expanded services for families affected by violence and crime.

4. Black Business Summit & Shark Tank-Style Pitch Competition Returns for Third Year
Ten local Black-owned businesses will compete for $60,000 in prizes on March 29 at the Delta Athenaeum as G.I.F.T. (Generating Income for Tomorrow) will host its annual Pitch Black Business Summit, showcasing Black entrepreneurs in a Shark Tank-style competition.
