
The first of three planned ChenMed Dedicated Senior Medical Centers is now open for business and accepting new patients at 13th and Grove. A ribbon cutting and Grand Opening celebration is planned for April 27, according to Stefan Krsmanovic, membership growth consultant for the clinic.

NOW thru Feb 28 African-American Scientists Honored with Exploration Place Outdoor Display Exploration Place, 300 N. McLean Blvd. Each night during February, Exploration Place will honor African-American scientists by projecting giant portraits onto the side of its iconic island building. In collaboration with The Kansas African American Museum, Exploration Place is celebrating Black History Month with a large-scale outdoor display for the second year. Guests are also invited to stay to watch the nightly 7 p.m. Ring of Fire lighting at the Keeper of the Plains and view 12 riverfront banners featuring a selection of women in STEM careers. Admission is not required to view the display from the Exploration Place promenade.
NOW – Mar 24-26 Take 36 Tallgrass Film Center, 120 E 1st, Tallgrass Film Association short film competition, TAKE 36 is being held March 24-26. In TAKE 36 we task creatives to conceive, develop, write, shoot, edit, and submit a short film, made in just 36 hours! And just to keep things interesting, we will have some required criteria that must be present in all submitted films! Anyone is welcome to participate!
