The TPS Dreamers Program offers a paid, hands-on opportunity to learn from industry experts in nearly every aspect of running a major production studio. If you’re passionate about pursuing a career in entertainment and film then this could be a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience.  

Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta is looking for highly-motivated, proactive college students in the industry looking for career experience in a wide variety of fields.

ABOUT

TPS DREAMERS is a paid program where you can receive college credit for your experience. Participants will gain work experience as well as meet professionals who are available as excellent contacts and mentors. You will be able to apply classroom and textbook knowledge to real life atmospheres.

Tyler Perry Studios is committed to providing a solid learning foundation for TPS DREAMERS. This program allows participants to receive first-hand knowledge of the rewards and challenges of working for a multi-faceted entertainment company.

Participants will learn about TPS’s long and short-term goals and objectives, as well as gain an introductory experience into both the corporate and television production arenas.

QUICK FACTS

Program Length: 7 weeks (Mid-June through early August)

Time Commitment: At least 40 hrs/week for 7 weeks

Curriculum: Participants will rotate between roles in Production, Studio Operations, Accounting, Development, Post Production, Social/Digital Media, IT, Art/Graphic Design, Legal, Wardrobe… and more.Office/Set Production Assistant

College Credit: Available with proper documentation

Field Trip: 1 per program

Fireside Chats: Every Friday with TPS Guest Speaker

Payment: $18/hour

TPS DREAMERS ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the program you must be:  

A college student or enrolled in a TV/Film training program; Students must have completed their Sophomore/2nd year in college prior to the start of the internship.

Must have a passion to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Must be at least 18-years-old at the time of submission.

Must work as a local; TPS does not provide housing or travel costs for interns.

Must be available for 40 hours a week for 7 weeks.

Interns seeking college credit – Students must be registered for an internship for academic credit with their college or university and must provide official letter on school letterhead verifying that internship course credit will be received for the internship. Proof of school enrollment or class descriptions will not be accepted as verification.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a valid Work Permit.
