Haitian Group Files Charges Against Trump and Vance Over False Accusations
The leader of a nonprofit representing the Haitian community has invoked a private-citizen right to file charges against former President Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance.
The charges are over the chaos and threats experienced by Springfield, Ohio, since Trump first spread false claims about legal immigrants there during a presidential debate.
The Haitian Bridge Alliance made the move Tuesday after inaction by the local prosecutor.
Charges brought by private citizens are rare, but not unheard of, in Ohio. Examples might be a grocery store charging a customer for a bounced check.
Specifically, the affidavit alleges Trump and Vance disrupted public service “by causing widespread bomb and other threats that resulted in massive disruptions” to Springfield’s public services. They have also been charged with making false alarms, telecommunications harassment, aggravated menacing, and complicity.
The charges come after Springfield has been dominating the headlines over the past week after false claims were made that Haitian migrants, who are in the United States legally, have been killing pets and eating them.

I think it’s friging awesome! It’s about time someone stood up to these buttheads and stood up for the Haitians. Thank you
