The 2024 Wichita Public Library Summer Reading live performance show series kicks off on Wed., June 12 with “Little Miss Ann” on stage.

Ann Torralba, aka Little Miss Ann, is a Filipina-American children’s musician who tours nationally and has made seven award-winning family music albums.

She will perform two shows in Wichita on June 12 – one at 10:30 a.m. at the Learning Library at 711 Second Street and a second show at 1 p.m. at Linwood Elementary School.

Little Miss Ann’s show is interactive and kids are encouraged to sing, dance and jump to the music.

A former Chicago public school teacher, she is also an instructor at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music, a social justice activist, Governor for the Chicago Recording Academy and a first-generation American.

Her musical themes include singing about Ube, a Filipino purple yam used in making desserts, and the 606, a landmark trail in Chicago.
