The City has announced its next round of open houses as it continues to market and sell public housing units. The City has received approval from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to sell an additional 51 scattered site units in addition to the 37 previously marketed as available for sale. Due to the large number of homes now available, staff will conduct open houses in groupings by neighborhood.
Open houses have been scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 28 for 13 homes, with most in the Matlock Heights neighborhood in northeast Wichita.
The April 28 event will feature the following single-family homes:

· 2408 N Green
· 2420 N Green
· 2431 N Prince
· 2615 E Audrey

· 2904 E 24th
· 2462 N Chautauqua
Additional Public Housing inventory available for sale is listed on the City’s website at wichita.gov/1317/Available-Housing-Department-Properties, and detailed information on each of this weekend’s listings will be added throughout the week leading up to the open houses. Inventory may be added or reduced for each open house event as additional units are available for marketing or as particular units go under contract. Offers will be reviewed on a regular basis between open houses.

The City is listing these properties at fair market appraised value instead of traditional real estate market prices, making them more affordable for residents.
