In observance of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday, City of Wichita facilities will be closed and/or have special hours:

Closed Friday, Nov 10: Wichita City Hall, neighborhood resource centers, Transit administrative offices, Wichita Public Library locations, Park administrative offices & Recreation centers, CityArts, Wichita Art Museum, Great Plains Nature Center, Environmental Health office, and WATER Center.

Closed Saturday, Nov 11: Wichita Public Library locations and Great Plains Nature Center.

There will be no Wichita Transit or Paratransit service on Saturday, Nov 11.

Special Hours for Friday, Nov 10:

·         Botanica, Mid-American All-Indian Museum, Cowtown, Wichita Public Golf Courses Ralph Wulz Riverside, O.J. Watson Park, Tennis Center, Brooks Landfill will be open regular hours.

·         CityArts will be open regular hours on Saturday, Nov 11.

Kansas City

On Friday, Nov 10, state and federal buildings will be closed, as will post offices and many banks in the area. There will be no mail delivery. Most local government offices will also be closed on Friday, including City Hall in Kansas City and county offices in Jackson, Johnson, and Wyandotte Counties. 

All the Kansas City Public Library’s branches will have regular hours, as will area museums. Liberty Memorial offers half-price tickets for Veterans Day weekend as well as free admission for veterans.
