On most days, the Chisholm Trail at The Great Plains Nature Center is open from dawn to dusk. But on the night of Fri., July 21, the trail will be open from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. when the Center at 6232 E. 29th St. North, welcomes the community to Moth Mania.

So, grab your flashlight and head on over to the Center, where naturalists will lead you through the paved trails in search of nature’s nocturnal stars including a favorite: Moths!

This event is open to all ages. There will be “Moth Broth” along with lighted screens, naturalists, games, glowing trails, and more!

“This event serves as a unique opportunity to experience nature and the trails in a whole new way,” says Darah Jewell, Volunteer and Event Coordinator for the Nature Center. “We’ll get to catch a glimpse of some night time life we wouldn’t normally get to see up close.”

Admission for this event is free. Check out more information at gpnc.org and on our social media!
