Free Steering Wheel Locks Available for Dotte Kia Owners
The Kansas City Kansas Police Dept. is distributing free anti-theft wheel locks, courtesy of the Kia car company.
If you live in Kansas City, KS, and own one of the designated Kia models you qualify for a FREE wheel lock.
Here are the models: Forte, 2011-2021; KS, 2021-22; Optima, 2011–2020; Rio, 2011-2021; Sedona, 2011-2021; Seltos, 2021-22; Soul, 2010-2022; Sorento, 2011-2022; and Sportage, 2011-2022.
Just bring your Kansas driver’s license or other proof of your address, like a utility bill or rental contract, as well your current vehicle registration to one of the following locations:
South Patrol Report Desk, 2200 Metropolitan Ave. – regular desk hours, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.,
East Patrol Report Desk, 849 N. 47th St. – during regular report desk hours, 6:45 a.m. – 10 p.m.,
KCKPD Headquarters, 700 Minnesota Ave. – Records Dept. Window, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Mon.-Fri.

Mayor Tyrone Tuesdays Return
Wyandotte County Unified Government Mayor Tyrone A. Garner is back with his Mayor Tyrone Tuesdays. The sessions hosted on the fourth Tuesday of the month, starting at 5:30 p.m., offer Unified Government residents one-on-one access to the mayor.
Residents are invited to share their ideas for a better Wyandotte County and KCK.
