A Ruskin High School sophomore and Theatre Department Officer, Zoie Harrington, will be making her debut on the Starlight Theatre stage this summer. She was recently selected as one of 19 students to perform in the teen ensemble of Legally Blonde!

Harrington will be performing alongside professional actors from Kansas City and New York City from July 7th thru 13th at Starlight Theatre. Harrington auditioned with 75 other area high school students before securing a coveted role.

“We are extremely proud of Zoie and cannot wait to see her shine on that stage this summer,” said Theater Department district chair Kelly Michale.

The director of theatrical arts at Ruskin High School, Payton Dishman, says that Harrington is one of the most driven students at Ruskin, and her passion for theater has taken her to stages beyond her dreams.

“I can’t wait to see her soar on stage this summer,” said Dishman

In addition to her upcoming performance at Starlight Theatre, Harrington can also be seen on stage in the first performance at Ruskin High School auditorium in three years.
