The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS, along with WyCo Vendor,  Resource Fair Committee, and Pay-It will host their first Vendor & Small Business Resource Fair, “Building Connections in 2022”at Memorial Hall, Tues. Oct. 18 at

600 N. 7th St. Trafficway, Kansas City, KS, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vendors and small businesses can receive valuable information on working with government and corporate organizations while gaining resources on future opportunities and programs for small businesses. In addition, small discussions and workshops will cover  a range of topics including:

  • Prepare for the Next Big Event: With the NFL Draft, NCAA Tournaments, FIFA World Cup, future conferences and other new attractions drawing crowds to the region, learn about opportunities for Kansas City businesses to participate in these exciting events.
  • Working with Government and Corporate America: They will share best practices on how to do business with government agencies and corporate America. Learn how to work with these organizations to grow your business.
  • Upcoming Opportunities and Programs for Small Businesses: Learn more about upcoming procurement opportunities and programs such as the federal set-aside for small businesses. They will walk you through various resources, including certification for minority- and women-owned businesses.

In support of local small businesses, a sponsorship through Pay-It has secured the showcasing of three on-site food truck businesses and event entertainment with a local DJ and production company.  Pay-It is a service that simplifies doing business with government agencies by consolidating hundreds of services and payments online.
