This weekend the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas was subject to a cybersecurity attack to its data centers. The Unified Government has been working to restore services and data access. 

Community members can check the city’s website wycokck.org or call 3-1-1 for updates on services impacted.

The UG said this is a fluid situation with an ongoing assessment of the damage underway. The UG is actively working with the US Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Mid-America Regional Council cybersecurity task force to determine what data, if any, may have been compromised.

They anticipate that some services may be impacted.  The UG website is still accessible, and will be providing updates as they are available.
