N95

President Joe Biden is giving away 400 million free N95 masks as the highly transmissible Omicron variant sweeps the nation.

Health experts are suggesting stepping up protection against the highly contagious variant with N95s or KN95s, which are much stronger masks.

The White House said that “to ensure broad access for all Americans, there will be three masks available per person.”

Thousands of stores and pharmacies across the country will be receiving the N95 masks in the coming weeks to distribute to the community.

Here is where you can find your free N95 masks in Kansas City:

Hy-Vee started receiving shipments of N95 masks Jan. 21. All store pharmacies are distributing them.

Walgreens is expected to distribute masks by Jan. 28, but not all locations will have them available. Walgreens said locations will have signs up indicating masks availability.

CVS stores do not know when exactly they will have masks available, but expect them to arrive in the coming weeks. Call your local store to find out.

Walmart expects to have N95 masks available on Feb. 9. Some might arrive earlier, so call your nearest store to find out.
