Almost two dozen Dillons pharmacies in Kansas are expected to receive limited doses of the COVID-19 vaccine starting Feb. 11.

Kroger, the parent company of Dillons, announced on Feb. it had been selected to participate in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Partnership plan President Biden’s administration had announced on Feb. 2. The plan will allow Kroger pharmacists to administer the Moderna vaccine in the following states: AZ, CO, GA, IN, KS, OH and UT.

Kroger said 22 Dillons pharmacies in Kansas have been selected to receive limited doses of the vaccine each week beginning on Feb. 11 and will begin scheduling appointments online. Appointments are mandatory to receive the vaccine.

The vaccine will be administered following specific phased guidelines in each county.
