With this issue, The Community Voice is launching a yearlong Solutions Journalism project entitled “The Criminalization of Poverty.”

This installment includes our investigation into the effects of suspended driver’s licenses. In other legal matters, we also take a look at the growing community of African-American gun owners; what to know if you’re joining a protest; who are some of our regional Black attorneys; what to know about family court; and what to know about wrongful convictions.
