As COVID-19 exacerbates the already stark economic disparities in the Black community and pushes the American Dream further out of reach, this conversation will delve in access and affordability issues too often confronted by Black Men in America. Sponsored by the Democratic National Convention, this national conversation with U.S. Majority Whip Jim Clyburn and Black male leaders from around the country will discuss improving economic equity for Black men and will reiterate the Party’s commitment to ensuring Black men are not left behind in the recovery.
The event, on Thurs., May 14, 6 p.m. CDT, is a part of the DNC’s ‘Chop It Up’ series and will be moderated by Russ Parr, of the Russ Parr In the Morning Show. If you wish to participate in the virtual town hall, RSVP @ https://www.mobilize.us/chop-it-up/event/272290/.
