Wichita’s HealthCore Clinic is offering free drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 tests this month at a mobile clinic at the Wichita State University Metroplex.

The testing site opened May 11 and will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 2 to 5 p.m. The mobile clinic will be in the Metroplex parking lot, at 29th Street and Oliver.

Patients should bring their ID and insurance information; however, if they do not have these, that’s OK. HealthCore says patients will still be able to receive a test. No one will be turned away, as long as supplies last.

“We know the COVID-19 Coronoavirus is disproportionately affecting our community. If you want a test, if you need a test, or you think you may have come in contact with the virus…come get tested. It’s convenient, it’s free, and it’s safe.” Teresa Lovelady, President and CEO of HealthCore Clinic said in a press release. “If you test positive, we will ensure you get connected to the services you need. If you test negative, we will give you information and resources to help keep you safe.”

Cars must enter and line up from the WSU Metroplex’s 29th Street entrance; no access will be allowed from Oliver. In the event of inclement weather, HealthCore Clinic will post updates about schedules on their website, healthcoreclinic.org and their Facebook page, Facebook.com/HealthCoreICT.
