Kansas City Melting Pot Theater is partnering with DNAWORKS to bring “Hollow Roots,” by award-winning playwright Christina Anderson, to Kansas City for three performances, Fri., Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m. and Sat., Sept.15, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Off Broadway Theater, 3051 Central Street, in Penn Valley Park.

In Hollow Roots, Anderson – a Kansas City native – questions the notion of a “post-racial” society. Diving into one woman’s quest to understand her identity, she asks if it is possible for a person to live their life unaffected by race or gender. For tickets, go to kcmeltingpot.com.
