Over 400 people came out with their lawn chairs to support the first McAdams Park ‘Ole School’ Reunion. The free event, billed as a ‘family reunion’ was just that. It included kids, parents, grandparent, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends old and new.
There were plenty hotdogs and chicken to satisfy all in attendance. Kansas Representative, Gail Finney, was so worried that not everyone would be fed so she purchased pizzas.
There was face painting & sack races for the kids. Some of the cutest little kids struggled for nearly fifteen minutes to bust a piñata, the day included a soul train dance contest with music provided by DJ David Cooksey, live entertainment, and the older family members were able to play a friendly game of cards and dominos.
