The National Urban League Convention, this year themed “Saving Our Cities: Education, Jobs, and Justice,” got underway on Wed., July 26 in St. Louis, MO and runs through Sat., July 29.  There’s lots planned, including a job fair, college, fair, plenary sessions, forums, social and awards banquets. 

If you aren’t lucky enough to make it to the convention, you can still join in on many of the session via online streaming.  Each of the major plenary sessions, where the big issues are discussed and debated, will be live streamed via the Urban League website and on Facebook live. 

The Opening plenary session: “State of Black America: How do we #Protect our Progress” will air on  Thursday morning, July 27 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. 

The second Plenary session:  “Main Street Marshall Plan for Urban American,” will air on Thursday from 2:45 – 4:45 p.m.

The final plenary session:  “Ferguson: From Anger to Action,” will air on Friday morning, July 28 from 8:30 -10:30 a.m.
