Kauffman Center is excited to announce the performance group and arts activity line-up for the 4th Annual Future Stages Festival to be held Sun., June 25. All activities will be held in, or on the grounds of, the Kaufman Center, KCMO, 1601 N. Broadway.
As an extension of the Kauffman Center’s Spotlight on Youth initiative, Future Stages Festival is a free, community event designed to celebrate the arts in Kansas City. This one-day festival showcases Kansas City’s diversity, bringing together visitors from all over the metro area to enjoy interactive arts activities and performances featuring more than 700 young artists.
This year’s festival is presented by Premier Partner, Saint Luke’s Health System, and will feature 26 performance groups set to perform across three stages. In addition to featuring more than 700 youth performers, Future Stages Festival offers attendees the opportunity to engage in arts activities hosted in Brandmeyer Great Hall and on the south lawn at the Kauffman Center. These activities will feature a wide range of art forms including: kite-making, stage combat training, community drum circles, and dance workshops.
