UPDATED AUGUST 4: This year, Incumbent Broderick Henderson — who rarely draws an opponent – had opposition in the primary.  He handily defeated Kimberly Lampkin in this Democratic Primary.  There is not Republican candidate in this race, so Henderson is the presumptive winner.  

PRINTED JUNE 9: Broderick Henderson, the incumbent, has competition in his Democratic primary, to maintain his 35th District Kansas House Seat, Kansas City. He is being opposed in the August primary by Kimberly Lampkin. Lampkin is a data analyst at Grantham University.
