Real Men Real HEros hosted Community Unity Day at Fairmount Park on June 25, in partnership with the Wichita State University and the City of Wichita. There were plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone. The day also included games, tug-o-war, line dancing and zumba. Representatives from the Ulrich Museum were on hand to do temporary tattoos; there were bouncing houses and the kids could also go inside a real S.W.A.T armored truck.
To ensure that residents stay cool during the summer. Westar Energy employees were there to donate fans. There was something for everyone or you could just relax under a shade tree.
Don Sherman, Westar Vice President of Community Relations and Strategic Partnerships passed out free fans to people in the community.
There was fun for the kids too.
Young and the not so young enjoyed a heated game of tug-o-war.
