Rising college Juniors and Seniors participated in a 2-day Collegiate Career Advancement Program sponsored by the members of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. The event, held on June 3-4 at the Kansas Leadership Center in downtown Wichita, attracted 40 high performing college students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
The program exposed participants to a rigorous, but enjoyable program, with relevant content including: a resume/interview critique, professional relationship management, navigating graduate school landscape, achieving leadership excellence and professional development.
This was the second year of the successful program, which drew the attention of the organization’s national president elect. Grand Sire Elect Archon Wesley Coleman made the trip from Los Angeles for the two-day event/
The boule members finished their program with a reception and dinner held at the Ambassador Hotel in Archon Coleman’s honor. A surprise special presentation was made at the event in recognition of the local boule’s oldest member, Rip Gooch. Gooch was given emeritus status in the National Sigma Pi Phi Foundation.
