It is with great pleasure that we announce the honorees in our first 2016 Men of Excellence Recognition Program. When so much about men in our community is negative, this program shines a light on men often working quietly in the community with far too little recognition.

Their efforts help move our community forward, and by bringing attention to them, we hope others will see how they too can step up and make a difference.

“I’m personally excited about the opportunity to share their inspiring stories to our readers across the state,” said Bonita Gooch, Community Voice Editor-in-Chief.  “Together, these men have hundreds of years of service to our communities.  We’ll present them as role models we hope others will aspire to follow.”

Gooch says the good news is that these are not the only men of excellence in our communities.

“We look forward to honoring others in the future and helping to advance their non-profit efforts as well.”

We’ll share more about these great men in a Men of Excellence Special Section in the June 23 issue of The Community Voice.  In addition, each of the men will be featured in an online video that will be available in early June and will be recognized at a reception to be held on Thurs., June 30.

Donation levels are:

Contributor  $25

Patron        $50

Benefactor   $75

Individuals who donate at this level or above will be recognized in the Men of Excellence Special Section, however, donations of any amount are accepted.

Ads in the special section range from $100 to $700.  Information about advertising and online contributions can be made at www.communityvoiceks.com, click on TCV events.  Donations can also be made directly to the honorees.   Donate here
