Wichita State University’s Office of Special Programs will host renowned author Wil Haygood at a free presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex.
Wil Haygood, the author of “The Butler — A Witness to History,” will speak at WSU Hughes Metropolitan Complex on Wed., May 25, 7 p.m. “The Butler” tells the story of Eugene Allen, the White House butler who served eight United States presidents.
Haygood was associate producer when the book was made into the 2013 movie “The Butler,” starring Forest Whittaker, Cuba Gooding Jr., Robin Williams and Oprah Winfrey.
