Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in partnership with the Wichita Branch NAACP Financial Freedom Campaign hosted the 2015 Senior Citizens Christmas Appreciation Dinner on Sun., Dec. 20. The event was held at Madison Avenue Clubhouse.
Each Senior Citizens in attendance left with a gift bag full of goodies. A candy bar provided by Sherida Turner contained all the sweets you could eat. Music was provided by saxophonists, Kevin Harrison. The holiday buffet, catered by Jodee B, included ham, turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce and rolls. The men of Omega Psi Phi served as attentive waiters.
After the meal, informative presentation were give by representatives from AARP and Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo Branch Manager, Penny Self provided information regarding common scams targeting senior citizens.
Ninety-five year old Auline Ray greeted friends. She was recognized as being the oldest worker at the event.
Co-sponsors Omega Psi Phi and NAACP along with Presenters from AARP and Wells Fargo posed for a group photo following the event.
