The Wichita Branch NAACP held their 96th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Sat., Oct. 17 at the Marriott. The evening built upon the weekend’s theme of “Pursuing Liberty in the Face of Injustice” by including a moderated discussion on Justice Reform instead of the typical banquet speaker. The discussion was led by the MC’s for the evening, Christian and Jonathan Long. The panelists were Mark Holden, General Counsel for Koch Industries, Inc., and Carlton Mayers, II, Esq., Program Specialist with the National NAACP Criminal Justice Division. The dinner was preceded by a reception and networking session.
