KC 360, a violence prevention pilot program in the Santa Fe neighborhood of Kansas City, has seen a 74% reduction in fatal shootings due to a multifaceted “village strategy” involving conflict resolution training, outreach to at-risk individuals, beautification and clean-up efforts, and stakeholder meetings.
