Nine Black modernist architects have been recognized by the Getty Foundation and the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund for their innovative designs, including the Charles McAfee Swimming Pool and Pool House, Carson City Hall Building, and the Watts Happening Cultural Center.
