Junction City Juneteenth Celebration Features Diverse Mix of Music

Junction City celebrated its 30th Juneteenth Festival on Sat. June 14 with a diverse mix of music along with vendors and food, downtown in Heritage Park.ย ย 

Critics Question 2024 Results as Musk Tactics Surface

A Wisconsin nonprofit has filed a legal complaint accusing Musk and a Musk-affiliated group, United States of America Inc., of violating state election laws by allegedly bribing voters. 

Vance Boelter, suspect in Minnesota lawmaker shootings, taken into custody. The man who authorities believe shot two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses in politically motivated shootings early Saturday morning is now in custody. (CBS)

Military parade and No Kings protests: A split screen of a divided America. As the Trump administration geared up for the parade filled with tanks and armored personnel, people in dozens of cities across the country protested the event. (NPR)

Trivia Answer: B. Sidney Poitier. Sidney Poitier was the first African American to win an Academy Award for Best Actor, recognized for his performance in “Lilies of the Field” (1963). This historic win occurred at the 36th Academy Awards ceremony in 1964.
