In a meeting with Wichita Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld last fall, members of the Greater Wichita Ministerial League and the NAACP questioned how the district’s graduation rate is increasing while scores on state assessment tests remain low.

Kansas Tourism Announces 2025 Sunflower Summer Attraction Lineup

Trivia Answer: C. Shaft. Isaac Hayes is famous for writing the theme music for the film Shaft. He also wrote the rest of the film’s musical score. The “Theme from Shaft” won him an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1972, making him the first African-American to win in that category.
