Prospect United Cleanup Shows Love For Historically Disinvested Thoroughfare

If you were driving down Prospect last weekend, you were probably shocked.  Along the historically disinvested thoroughfare, from Martin Luther King Blvd. to 75th Street, there were youth and adults with bags in hand, helping clean the community.

Parks-Shaw’s Operation Backpack Reaches 6th Year

Well before the giveaways’ 11 a.m. start time on Sat., Aug. 2, the line of cars waiting to participate in the program had already wound to the end of Swope Park and blocks into the neighboring community. 

Andrew Davis, elected in 2021, is Wyandotte County’s youngest commissioner. With a KU MPA and experience in community development, he champions equity, innovation, and economic growth. Cheaper Cannabis: Missouri Supreme Court Rules Counties, Cities Can’t Stack’ Taxes on Marijuana Sales

Kansas Citians shopping at their local marijuana dispensary will now pay 3% less in sales taxes after a recent Missouri Supreme Court ruling.

It appears Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko has arrived in a fashion very similar to the arrival of the star she upset, Coco Gauff who is currently the number 2 rated women’s tennis player in the world.

Trivia Answer: A. Charlie Sifford. Charlie Sifford was the first Black player to get a PGA card, qualifying him for the professional golf tour. It came in 1961, a full decade after the color barrier had fallen in professional football, baseball, and basketball.
