Kansas City’s parade of hearts showcases local Black artists’ passion for art

Kansas City’s Parade of Hearts is back for its third year, featuring 5′ fabricated heart sculptures designed by local artists to create artistic wonders based on a Kansas City-based theme. This year, 100 hearts will be displayed across the city for public viewing and enjoyment from late April to August, with proceeds going toward charities supporting the arts, education, and health and wellness. The Parade of Hearts showcases the work of 471 artists, including seven local African-American artists, up from four last year.
