1. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Charters New Chapter in North Kansas City

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, has expanded its presence in the Kansas City metropolitan area with the chartering of a new chapter, Pearls of Heartland, in North Kansas City, Missouri.

4. Kehoe Calls Special Session to Redraw Missouri Map, Curb Citizen Power

Missouri lawmakers will return to the Capitol next week to gerrymander the state’s congressional map in the hopes of creating a new Republican seat. 

5. Trump Revokes Harris’ Secret Service Protection as Book Tour Nears

President Donald Trump has revoked former Vice President Kamala Harris’ Secret Service protection months before it was set to expire, raising security concerns just as she prepares to launch a 15-city international book tour.

475 people detained in Georgia Hyundai raid by ICE, other agencies, officials say. Steven Schrank, the special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Georgia, told reporters Friday that the majority of those detained were Korean nationals but he didn’t know exactly how many. (CBS)

💡Trivia Answer: A. Hiram Rhodes Revels. Hiram Rhodes Revels was the first African-American to graduate from Harvard University and serve as a U.S. senator, elected in 1870. Born in North Carolina, he became a minister and later a political leader in Mississippi. His tenure in the Senate was focused on advocating for civil rights and equality.
