Wyandotte County launches tax rebate programs for seniors and disabled residents

Seniors and individuals with disabilities in Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS may be eligible for tax rebates on their utilities and homes. The Unified Government has launched a community outreach program to help applicants apply for property tax refunds, BPU PILOT Relief, and utility and sales tax rebates. The tax rebate application process will run until April 15, and applicants can call 3-1-1 to make an appointment to present their paperwork and complete applications at any of the available locations throughout the week. Family-owned Deez Nachos brings unique nacho creations to Kansas City’s Parlor

Deez Nachos, a family-owned business, has opened a brick-and-mortar location in Kansas City’s Parlor food hall. The menu features unique items like Smoked Wing Nachos and collaborations with local organizations. The business is run by a father, son, and mother with aspirations for growth and retirement. Dwight Tiller II, the owner, previously worked as the co-owner and head chef of KC Mac and Co. at the same location. Deez Nachos’ food truck, which opened in 2016, is still up and running and is expected to be back in action this spring and summer.
