5. Former U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel of New York Dies at 94
Former U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel of New York, an outspoken, gravel-voiced Harlem Democrat who spent nearly five decades on Capitol Hill and was a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, died Monday at age 94.


Supreme Court allows Trump to revoke temporary legal status of 500,000 immigrants from 4 countries. A federal judge had blocked the administration from immediately ending temporary status granted by the Biden administration to people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela. (NBC News)
Kansas City’s poet laureate uses words to ‘reach across the rifts’ and foster a healthier community. Melissa Ferrer Civil found community, and a path toward better mental health, through poetry. Now, she’s spreading the good word. (KCUR)
