Trivia Answer: C. Ralph Bunche. The first Black person to win a Nobel Prize was Ralph Bunche, an American diplomat and political scientist. Bunche won the Peace Prize in 1950 for his mediation efforts in the Arab-Israeli conflict during the late 1940s. His work led to the signing of armistice agreements between the opposing parties.
