Vast cuts by the Trump administration, led by Elon Muskโ€™s Department of Government Efficiency, are threatening to close down a once-dependable path to financial stability for the middle class.

EPA terminates funding for environmental justice center at Wichita State.ย The center was set up in 2023 as part of former President Joe Bidenโ€™s emphasis on addressing communities with disproportionately-high levels of pollution. (KMUW)

Trump ends deportation protection for 500,000 Haitians. This comes despite deteriorating conditions in the Caribbean country, with gangs controlling about 85% of the capital. (BBC)

KC Chiefs leading receiver Xavier Worthy arrested on assault charge in Texas. Worthy was arrested on a domestic assault charge involving a domestic dispute in Georgetown, Texas. (UPI)
