In response to two recent incidents in which children under the age of ten gained access to unsecured firearms, leading to tragic outcomes, Wichita law enforcement officials are focusing on ongoing efforts to provide the community with free cable-style and trigger locks for guns.

Renovated Maya Angelou Branch Library Reopen
The renovated and expanded Maya Angelou Branch Library, at 3051 E. 21st St., Wichita reopened last week after undergoing a complete interior remodel. The remodel, which closed the library in October, is part of the Library’s master plan to enhance services at branch locations.
